Robotics on private healthcare

Hi there,

Can anyone recommend somewhere offering Da Vinci robotics on private healthcare?

I have had ablation via a laparoscopy three years ago because they said excision was not possible, but unfortunately my endo has regrown. I am insured with Aviva and they will only let me have one more surgery in the next six months before they rule it out as a chronic condition, so I'm really keen to have excision and understand that robotics may make this easier/more possible for the surgeon.

I am based in the South but willing to travel. I have looked at the BSGE list and compared the consultants with the Aviva list and can only find a couple on both and the private hospitals at Spire and Circle do not offer robotics.

Thanks

Hi

They don’t like recommendations on here unfortunately. Some NHS hospitals have private wings but I think will use the same theatres, from that angle you might get robotic surgery.

I know one of my local hospitals Frimley have a private wing and the Endo surgeon does robotics, he considered it for me but didn’t.
