Hi.

I was diagnosed with Endo in 1999 following a laparoscopy. A laparoscopy in 2012 also again confirmed I had endo. I had an MRI last year and it showed nothing, yet I had a hysterectomy three weeks again and they found endo and adenomyosis.

I know it can be really frustrating with all the conflicting messages but hang in there and keep pushing xx

Prior to being diagnosed I kept being told all my scans were showing nothing…yet when I had my first diagnostic lap the surgeon found the worst case of severe stage 4 endometriosis he’d ever seen. I lost my chance of having children and now in constant pain, all because it has caused too much damage to my insides having been left so long with no diagnosis.

I get frustrated how heavily they rely on scans when it is known Endo doesn’t show well/ if at all on them.

I would insist on further investigations, you know your own body and know if something doesn’t feel right.
