Hi everyone,I am looking for information about small bowel endometriosis. If you had /have it what are your symptoms?

And if you have been undergone to surgery with a resection (only small bowel) how it went?

I have only bloating (not always, only with some foods like beans, and other things) and reflux as symptoms (digestive) but no other gut related symptoms (I am completely regular and perfect with my stool), my surgeon propose me to do my surgery (for usl endometriosis) also with a digestive surgeon in case he finds some endo on my small bowel, and in this case they will perform a resection. I am scared and I would love to hear some experience (only small bowel not other colon problems). I would be very grateful if someone shares personal experience. Thank you so much

I was told I would probably need a bowel resection but in the end after they had unstuck all my pelvic organs it was excised away and wasn’t as bad as they first thought. But I had awful symptoms with chronic constipation and severe diarrhoea but that was all the time but on top of that they were worried I had Ibs as well. I also suffered with really bad indigestion and still do and would be sick but it would last all day the worst I was sick for ten days solid before I got anti sickness tablets as one doctor accused me of being constipated. Since my surgery and just before I lost altogether a stone in weight. I needed to loose weight as over the years I had put on a lot of weight due to various different things. My operation was three hours long and was in recovery for nearly four hours. Hope this helps sometimes though until they operate they don’t know really what they are dealing with but they will have some idea if you have had a mri. They use mri to map out who will be involved in surgery. Which is good and your surgeon will have a colerectal surgeon with him to guide him if they need to do a resection . Take care
