Hi I am 24 and live in Yorkshire and am trying to get diagnosed with endo. I was referred to Leeds gynecology in Feb last year and was told that all of my symptoms were 'all in my head' and referred to a therapy waiting list. After completing therapy with all of my symptoms still (what a surprise!) The doctor has again referred me to gynecology.
As you can imagine, after my last experience with the department I am hesitant to go back and be dismissed again. I feel like going to see a specialist endo consultant would be a lot more useful and probably much quicker. Can anyone recommend anybody around West Yorkshire who I could request to see? I would even be open to just going to a different gynecologist department in a different, maybe smaller hospital. I would really appreciate any suggestions, I am frustrated and miserable just being brushed aside all the time like every other person on here!

I’m in Yorkshire. Find your local BSGE centre. Find an endo specialist. Start thinking laterally, it’s your body. Don’t be fobbed off. Go online. Research stuff. Read books. Get educated. Our voice is the most important tool we have. Do a load more research, don’t accept this is how it is, knowledge is empowering. Who told you it was all in your head? Therapy??? What therapy? I’d like to put endo in their head. 😡
