Hi, I had a laparoscopy a couple of days ago and they told me they found a few patches of endo on back of my uterus & my fallopian tube is blocked. The surgeon didn’t give much info on this he just said he’s referring me to a fertility specialist. Has anyone had a blocked fallopian tube & if so is there treatment for it? Can they unblock it? Thanks :)

hey!! So sorry to hear this! And that the consultant couldn’t tell you much about it. I also have blocked fallopian tubes, the only treatment is more surgery, either to drain/ open the fallopian tube, or remove it (which is what I’m having done soon). If you Google ‘Hematosalpinx’ it should tell you a little more about it xxx

Hey there, I had a blocked left tube which was also attached to a large cyst so my fertility clinic asked my surgeon to remove it completely to improve IVF outcomes as it can affect embryo implantation (mine was full of fluid which can leak into the uterus). They didn't offer any other options, as they wanted to be 100% sure that it wouldn't cause any problems in future for IVF treatment.
