If it is a CA125 then this is a very non-specific test. I don’t know why it was done but it’s not a test for suspected endo. It can be raised with endo , inflammation and even with fluctuations during the menstrual cycle . When used for cancer it is usually for monitoring known cancer and again not a reliable diagnostic test so I’d try not to worry.
It was CEA bloods
do you know which one was raised? I was referred to oncology last year due to enlarged lymph nodes and my ca125 was higher (apparently often is in Endo sufferers). I was terrified but they’ve left it that they weren’t immediately concerned and its to be closely monitored.
I did find the 2 week cancer pathway worked very efficiently (once the GP finally made referral).
Best wishes to you, it’s a worrying time but at least they’re being thorough. ❤️
I received a phone call from my gynaecologist offering surgery to remove my ovaries. Waiting for a call back with a date x
