ulcers day 8 post op laparoscopic surgery

hello endo ladies!

I had my first lap a week ago, recovering slowly and feeling better each day.

They removed my r tube and several endometriomas from my r ovary. They removed scar tissue from left and tested patency of tube, all looks ok. What a blessing.

adhesions removed from bladder bowel and rectum.

I had severe sickness day 2 post op- I went back in for fluids and anti sickness. Since then I’ve developed ulcers on the roof of my mouth and right tonsil.

I’m wondering if this is a side effect of naproxen (I’ve read it can cause ulcers). I stopped taking codine day 2 and just stuck to paracetamol due to the sickness.

Unusual, or had anyone suffered with ulcers before?

Ah that sounds tough sorry you're going through that. I suffer mouth ulcers a lot but don't have the post op experience so no real advice. Could be the acidity of sickness irritating the tissue and causing the ulcers. Anbesol is usually good for my mouth ulcers. Hope you get relief soon, and speedy recovery. I have my first lap on Sunday if it goes ahead as I have a cold. Dreading it! Xx

naproxen can cause stomach ulcers over time, not mouth ulcers cause you took it occasionally.
