I'm about to start a course of injections to bring on early menopause as I've just been diagnosed with endometriosis. I am just wondering if anyone on here has had these injections and what are they like and are they worth it? Does it help? What are the side effects? And is there a benefit or a rusk in doing this? Thank you in advance for your replies ☺️

Endometriosis Injection
I had the six month course of decapeptyl the pain eased so much I didn't bleed but my teeth ached my joints ached etc but it was a welcome repreive. The jabs are bit stingy but ok till you get to the end where your bum cheeks gets a bit sore despite alternating. One of mine didn't work as the nurse administered it incorrectly Good luck.
Morning, this all depends how old you are and whether you will be taking addback HRT. I have stage 4 endometriosis and have been on zoladex for 2 months. I'm almost 51 and take HRT so for me the side effects have been minimal. Are you taking it for pain or bleeding? Also, these injections are not a long term solution so if you are young you need another plan in place. Hope this helps x
Hi!
I had the Zoladex injections for 6 months and they were amazing for my endo! I had a couple of menopause side effects such as hot sweats and a bit of brain fog but other than that they were great and I’d personally recommend trying them if that is an option to you! I didn’t require the back HRT and I was 23 at the time.
Also to bear in mind that if you have had endo a while and not had surgery recently then it won’t do anything for the endo already there, it’ll just help slow down future growth. So you may not see much of an improvement if that is the case!
Hi I'm on prostrap injections and they have been brilliant so far. Just a few hot flushes and night sweats but i was having those anyway x
