I have recently been dignosed with deep infiltrating endometriosis in the womb, both fallopian tubes and both ovaries. I’m not sure if it is affecting any other organs at the moment as not had my consultant appointment yet but I do know that I have an 11cm endometrioma on my right ovary. I have been in a lot of pain with all of this both in my back, front lower abdomen, both legs, having issues with constipation and bladder which i know are all common with endometriosis.
My question is, has anyone noticed any nipple discharge at all from all of this? I have been having this for about 2 years now (although only diagnosed with endometriosis last month) and its not a lot but i always have a bit dried on and crusty nipples which i always just scrape off in the shower. I have checked for any breast lumps but cannot feel any. It has never been painful before but when i tried washing it off today, there was more of it and was quite painful on my left nipple and it is still hurting. Has anyone experienced this before at all?
Thanks for any replies.

Thank you for your reply. I think that is a good idea as the pain is still there since yesterday. Its not a severe pain but i’ve not experienced it before and it does seem somewhat out of the ordinary as cant seem to find much on it on google relating to endometriosis. I will try and get booked in with my GP on Monday x
yes but I also have a micro prolactinoma which is a non cancerous tumour on the pituitary. It was treated with the medication cabergoline successfully. You need to get some blood tests to check your prolactin levels it can also be caused by untreated hypothyroidism. Probably a referral to endocrinology.
I have this slightly, it happens every few months. I have severe Endo including on my diaphragm and I also have hypothyroidism. I mentioned it to my GP and they sent me for a mammogram to rule stuff out which was clear.
Nipple discharge isn’t normal and should be checked out by your GP. It can be associated with other issues other than just breast cancer that should be looked into . These include a side effect of hypothyroidism or a problem with the regulation of prolactin. Co morbid issues with autoimmune endocrine disorders are more common with endometriosis. There is also evidence that prolactin levels can be heightened by endometriosis as well as success in lesion management with some prolactin inhibitors although it’s not commonly known or used. Quite what the relationship isn’t entirely clear either so I wouldn’t expect specialists in either sphere to have this in mind. ( go to research papers instead for this).
Whatever the cause you need to ensure it’s treated. It maybe a straightforward problem easily helped out.
Hi NiylaIt's probably nothing maybe related to stress or hormones imbalance but better safe than sorry just go to your GP and get a scan /assessment at a breast clinic. They can do blood tests to rule out if it is a hormones issues or if you need more investigations.
