I have had severe period pain for years and take naproxen 500mg every month which stops it getting severe. I then got period pain the week before my period, a couple days occasionally after my period, then occasionally it would happen randomly throughout the month and now for about 2 weeks it’s been hurting at some point every day, it’s not constant though and worse in the morning. I’ve been on the patch since Tuesday. I’m not diagnosed with endometriosis, I had an ultrasound that was normal. It’s like my period pain has just spread across the whole month. I haven’t changed anything in my diet.

from period pain to daily pain
I get pains throughout the month but mainly when i ovulate (if thats spelt right) thats 12-16 days before cyce but feels like second cycle.
Pain with or throughout your cycle is not normal. The fact you are on a higher level pain killer doesn’t obviate the requirement for a diagnosis by your GP. It maybe endo or even adenomyosis or both or could even be bowel related. Insist on getting a proper diagnosis asap.
There are things you can do for yourself nutrition wise.
Hi pinkie25, Sorry to hear you are going through this. What your describing is exactly what happened to me. I always had horrible period pain then it just started getting longer and longer then was week before until suddenly it was all month and no pain killer would inprove it. I had multiple scans that came back normal aside from a small cyst but then saw a gynae who said a laproscopy would see what's causing the pain so i agreed as at this point i was desperate and it turned out both my ovaries, my ureter and my uterosacral ligaments were covered in endo, I has a deep inplant and lots of adhesions none of which you can see on a scan. Keep pushing for answers 💪 and more tests. Good luck with your next stepsxx
