Periods with HRT

Last Sept I had extensive excision surgery and the removal of one ovary. I was given utrogestan capsules and evorel 50 patches. However, I have had two bleeds one in dec and one in Jan, more like spotting but with all the pain like a period. I’ve called my dr as she wants me to go back and see my specialist because apparently I should not be bleeding and taking combined HRT. I also have adenomyosis and my breasts hurt all the time. As of yesterday I’ve stopped taking it as I am a bit worried while I wait for an appointment with my specialist. Anyone else experienced this or similar? Thanks! Oh and I am 49.

Hi, I was the same on continuous Hrt, continuous regular bleeding, I tried it for over a year, hoping it would finally stop! All my friends didn’t bleed. When I finally told my Doctor, she panicked and sent me for investigations, for womb cancer, but everything was normal. I still have no answers why I bleed. I’ve asked to be referred back to Gynaecology, I’m 54 and still having periods, not taking anything for my menopause. I Hope this helps, take care.

Thank you, I think I might be similar and will probably not bother with HRT any more.
