hysteroscopy

I was admitted to hospital two night ago for severe pain due to my endometriosis. The last consultant decided to tell me my endometriosis doesn’t exist and it’s all in my head. Apparently from hysteroscopy they found I have no endometriosis. Despite being diagnosed in 2017 via laporoscopy… is it possible to determine I don’t have it anymore via a hysteroscopy? As they can only see inside the womb/uterus and not the outside? Thanks x

no a hysterescopy is to look inside the womb, to see polyp’s or fibroids or to take biopsy of womb lining to check if that’s normal. As endometriosis generally grows outside the womb I can’t see how looking inside it would diagnose it. I’d get a different consultant!

I would say no and get a second opinion. Sometimes they have no idea unfortunately 😔

No and I wish these consultants wouldn’t give false information and cause women further distress and confusion. 😡

I'm so sorry you didn't have a team on your side. It's one thing having facts / results from procedures, tests, etc. but it's quite another thing to tell a patient it's all in their head. I'm so sorry. Can you ask for a 2nd opinion?
