hello

I was wondering, I’m having a diagnostic laparoscopy done this month, but they have found a few cysts and one being an endometriosa cyst. These will be removed ,what would the rough time limit I need to be off work for recovery. Cheers

Hi I think the best time would be a week off from work. I took 2days last year and that was my mistake as couldn't even sit on the 3rd day, good luck!

hun as I got sepsis I had about a month off but then they did also take a large endometroma away as well they will let you know and also if you ask they can give you a sick note . As everyone is different I suppose healing time wise I think it takes a while to fully recover I mean for me I have a weird scar in my belly button which isn’t great and my other scars are all prominent still and had that surgery last year in April so a good eight months away x

Hi

I had similar procedure to you 23rd Nov. I took the standard 2 weeks off, this was fine. I've had no complications before or after. I do have a desk job. I only started back with exercise this week (yay!) so have deffo took it easy and allowed my body to heal.

Hope this helps, good luck with it!

My Gyno evaded that question. I meet with her tomorrow so may ask again. They found it on my ovary, and bowel and some other areas - they removed as much as they could but didn't touch the bowel, they left that. Hope that helps.
