I had my endo removed via laparoscopic surgery 21/11/2023 - over the last few days the pain in my left side has been awful / is it normal to go and come back?
I don’t belive this is Endo pain as it sharp, breath taking?!
Who do I call? My doctors, the surgeon or is this normal
thanks Sophie

I've got the same Sophie, my laparoscopy was 23rd Nov (removed some endo and small ovarian cyst), 4 weeks ago and last 2 days I've had sharp pain near left hip/ovary area, reverberating through abdomen at times. it's very sharp and almost breathtaking. it's worse when lying down so not sleeping well. I am wondering if it is wind?! I've been taking peppermint capsules. I have consulted my GP surgery this morning, waiting to hear back. Thought might be best with xmas coming up.
They just said given my symptoms best I come in for face to face to examine me properly. I am sure it's fine, but just a double check with someone more of an expert than me. Hope you find some relief soon too.
Been to the docs SMAIB, she said deffo good to go just in case, even if it turns out to be wind, reassuring! She took blood pressure, temp, heart rate, felt for tenderness in the abdomen and back and all was good so happy there are no red flags. Just wanted to let you know the outcome for your own case. Take care
definitely worth going to see your specialist. I had similar issues and it turns out I had an infection so needed antibiotics. It’s rare but sometimes surgery can cause an infection in the endometrial layer - best getting checked out good luck xx
thanks for the reply, I managed to get checked out and she is happy my body is just a slow healer - with recent stress events she thinks it’s just my body! Which is good news! Back to pain killers again now!
