New symptom: Numbness in face - link to Endometriosis?

Hi everyone,

I just wondered if anyone else has experienced numbness in your face associated with pelvic pain?

Background: I've experience endo like symptoms for the past 2.5 years. Had a laparoscopy in November and nothing was found. It's a few days before my period is due and I'm in a lot of pain. I'm taking Nefopam Hydrochloride tablets (not doing enough for the pain!) at the moment and waiting for a CT scan.

Today, at the same time as the pain, my face cheeks have gone numb - this started suddenly and feels like someone is holding my face with cold hands / how your cheek feels when you get a numbing injection at the dentist. I'm keen to know if this happens to others.

I get numbness in my face, usually on one side. In my case I think it’s linked to migraine. You can have silent migraines that are like this with aura symptoms like numbness but no headache.

Hi, I just made an account to say that I have the same issue going on. I also had a lap in November of 2023 that was negative for endometriosis. I will be getting a total hysterectomy for suspected adenomyosis in about a week. I believe the issues are connected because I never had this issue before and most everything has been ruled out with blood tests, ultrasounds, and MRI. If I don't follow up in a few months feel free to message me.

Thank you for taking the time to reply BlueMoonflower . It's nice to know that I'm not crazy :D

Just been diagnosed with adeno last week following an MRI. The CT scan I had a couple of months ago showed nothing in the end. My new consultant (endo specialist) suspects endo also but at least the MRI showed no DIE. Now scheduled for a 2nd lap in May to have a good look around but I'm feeling more confident this time as he knows what he's talking about and says endo was likely missed last time as general gynae usually only identify it if its the version that's super easy to see.

Sending good vibes your way. Hope the surgery goes well and that you recover quickly. Would love to know if they confirm your suspicions about adeno following your visit if you are happy to share.
