Hi ladies, I’m in tears right now typing this message, I was recently diagnosed with multiple large fibroids, I also had a surgery for appendicitis but I was diagnosed with endometriosis after the surgery.
The pain in my abdomen is excruciating, I feel alone, I am afraid to loose my job if I keep calling in sick, I have severe depression and anxiety and anger issues since this whole episode started.
I’m happy to be here and I hope I get the support I need here

Endometriosis pain can be very isolating. I’m glad you have a diagnosis as this helps others understand and can help you get support. Have you talked this through with your GP? Have you been referred for surgery? It’s a really hard time isn’t it? I was diagnosed with severe Endo and fibroids a few months ago, and although I was relieved to have an explanation for the symptoms, it’s a lot to take on board. I’m seeing the specialist in January and the gynae who diagnosed me said I should expect I’ll need a total hysterectomy. This was music to my ears as I just want it all out now! Everyone feels differently about this though I know.
Anyway, I just wanted you to know you’re not alone. Some of the FB groups are more active than here and can be really good for support.
Hi lovely, I'm the same and my endometriosis was only diagnosed after an abandoned hysterectomy. Push to see a specialist in endometriosis and put a plan together. If you can, go private for the consultant as they will give you a full hour and explain everything. I did this and it was money well spent. Stay positive as there will be a way moving forward. 80% of us have fibroids. I had a large one removed in January but they came back by May; this isn't always the case. There are options you can discuss once you get your head around it. Ask for an MRI scan do they can see exactly what's going on x x
