So, mri results are back and they are saying now it's not Adeno but multiple fibroid uterus. I have 4 fibroids, largest is 6cm. The other 2 are about 4cm, pressing on the bowel. Hence the bowel issues. My uterus is 10 x 8 cm and it should be 5 x 4 cm. As I am in so much pain, my gp has expedited my follow up. I have asked not to see the male gynae. He didn't even offer treatment/follow up with the results and is always gaslighting me and I always cry after my appts with him. My concern is they didn't show up on the laparoscopy in August, even though the last ultrasound in June mentioned the large one. I've had multiple opinions/diagnosis that I don't know what/who to believe 🥺I want to thank you all for all of your support. You have been so helpful. 💕💕💕

Mri results - now saying not Adeno?
I’m so sorry to jump on your post. I so hope you get the answers you’re looking for.
But I just had to comment. I had my first lap on Tuesday as me and my consultant thought I had Endo and I was suspicious of Adeno…
Anyway turns out absolutely no Endo but “looks like it could be Adenomoysis” and my next step is an MRI.
I was gobsmacked when I woke up and was told no Endo. Now I’m so worried the MRI won’t show Adeno. I’ve had ultrasounds that only showed a cyst.
It’s all very confusing. It’s been years trying to figure out what’s going on and I’m no closer😭
I’m sorry I’m not even sure what I’m looking for here but felt I could relate to your posts xxx
I feel your pain. I'm a former shell of the person I was before all of this. Once I have the strength, I am complaining to PALS. It just isn't good enough 🥹 xxx
Adenomyosis and fibroids can be mistaken for each other so I've been told, they said I had adenomyosis back in 2017, but no fibroids now I have two, so I wonder if the fibroids were there back in 2017 and I haven't actually got adenomyosis at all.
It's so confusing as the symptoms are the same. I am concerned a 6cm was missed on the laparoscopy. What if it was a cancerous tumour? 🥹
They can do a blood test called a Ca125 if that comes in really high in its thousands that can be an indicator apparently. You could ask your gp for this test explaining your worries too xx
An MRI will hopefully show it all. Ultrasounds are a waste of time in my opinion but my MRI with dye managed to show it all. They will either want to remove the fibroids and then do an ablation to thin your adenomyosis or they will suggest zoladex or prostrap with addback HRT. This will shrink the fibroids. It depends how old you are and if you have children. Make sure you have all your questions ready for your appointment and good luck xx
