9.5cm left endometriosis nhs waiting time for surgery?
Hi Shasga. It can vary depending on where you are. The best way to find out is ask your consultant’s secretary or GP as they should be able to give you a rough idea.
I went to see consultant in June, had ultrasound and mri, which picked up stage 4 endo, fused bowel, cysts and fibroid and was referred to a specialist centre and prescribed prostrop. I had a Meeting with the specialist in October. I am on the list for a full hysterectomy with bowel resection and bowel surgeon present. Was told it would be around a year from referrel to specialist centre for my surgery so I'm looking at august. It depends where you are bases, I'm Bristol.
Hi, I was told the aim is for treatment within 18 weeks following news that I needed a laporoscopy. However, I was also told that they frequently miss this cut off due to high demand and waiting lists.
Hi, I had similar situation to yours. Once I had my consultant appointment, at the specialist endometriosis centre, waited 10 months for a surgery date. I was told it could be 1-2 years but I called the bookings team after my pre-op assessment and asked to be contacted if there were any cancellations. That’s how I got my date earlier, they called me and offered a cancelled spot which was in 2 weeks. Good luck!!
