Just looking for a bit of advice. I was diagnosed with Adenomyosis and Fibroids at 38.
Its only been a year and a half but Im struggling hugely. I am very depressed and cant motivate myself day to day.
I have constant pain in my lower abdomen, tailbone and Left bum. My pain has progressed in the last 8 months where I am unable to cope now. I have had MRI and Xrays in case it is something else. No injury or trauma. I am having a colonoscopy also. i have also tried Physio and Acupuncture. No joy.
I have been trying to conceive (with no luck) so I have been avoiding painkillers, and the pill.
i dont know where to go from here. Im turning 40 next year and see no end to this pain. I am thinking about IVF. But Im struggling to motivate myself to do that.
Are there any other options out there for pain management and has anyone have any general advice?
Thanks

I'm sorry you are in so much pain. It is so debilitating. I struggle with pain relief too. I swear by effervescent paracetamol, as they work quicker. Naproxen 500mg twice daily and a plug in heat pad. You can get them from Amazon for about £15/20. Works better than Morphine for me. Xx
Sorry you are in so much pain! Ibuprofen actually works the best for me but I've also tried mefenamic acid and codeine based medicines. But of course you have said you're avoiding painkillers. Non medication wise I have a tens machine which helps a bit, and use hot water bottles, I've heard heat pads help. Sometimes the only thing that can result in a slight ease of pain is sitting and lying in different positions until something feels slightly better than before!
You need to get referral to pain Management request that at your doctors .
I have both and it’s agongy even with tramodel and another thing they give me but can’t spell it .
Personally would avoid naproxen as I heard it’s not great for fertility so that’s just my own personal view.
I take lots of baths 🛁 in a day and hot water bottles and heat pads stuck to me . Hi can’t work full time because of it I’m self employed so I can have plan when I’m not well .
I would definitely recommend Ivf .
Hope you get some relief and your body gives you a day off occasional x
I can relate to the pain you describe. I use an Ovira tens machine on my lower back - this doesn’t always remove the pain completely but does help after about 30 mins. Really small device too.
