Constant pain down below and heavy feeling.

Please bare with me as this must be a common post!I have endo in uterus muscle, pouch of Douglas and on ligaments and on my bowel. Also had a 5cm endometrioma.

I'm in pain most of the time from my endometrioma and bowel but used to get about 5to 7 days of less pain after my period in my other areas.

Since my last period I'm in constant pain everywhere in my pelvis, shooting/achey pain around bottom and vagina and feel like it's all really heavy and my pelvis floor is working hard.

Has anyone else felt this heavy fullness? My lower back hurts all the time.

Does anything kill the pain for you? Should I report this new symptom to my GP?

I'm awaiting surgery for hysterectomy, and endo and bowel surgery.

Thankyou for any advice.

this is what I experienced before my surgery, I’m currently 4 days post surgery. Even though I’m still in agony from the surgery I can already feel the back pain is better after excision.

Only thing I found that helped with pain was diclofenic, codeine and paracetamol along with warm baths and a hot water bottle.

Hope you get sorted soon and get some decent pain relief xx

Thank you!

No you’re definitely not imagining it! I used to get such bad pain that it effected my ability to walk. My leg would give way due to the pain radiating down my back. The endo had gotten into the muscles and ligaments in the back so it felt a lot like sciatica, this illness is a horrible one but hopefully they’ll find the right answers to help you get some quality of life back x

I am currently in the process of trying to get a diagnosis for suspected endometriosis, I also get that heavy full feeling, especially if I'm bleeding or about to bleed, if I have to walk anywhere I have to go slow and hunched over

My pain is also pretty constant but I tend to get a few days of relief after my period but the pain is never fully gone

A couple girls in his group told me to get a tens machine and it's one of the only things I've found to take my mind off the pain, I find it works better than my pain killers, other than that I use a microwaveable heat pad to relax my tummy muscles during a flare that seems to help and just a lot of rest and sleep

It's probably worth mentioning it to your doctor and asking them for alternative pain relief to whatever you've been offered already

Hope you find some relief soon x
