Hi everyone, I just wanted to post a little positivity on here! I know how difficult it is to live with endo (of course), so I wanted to share any positive experiences to anyone who might need it.I had my first laparoscopy (both diagnostic and therapeutic, in the end), in July, so I'm about 6 weeks out now. I have suffered a lot previously, especially in the last year or so, mostly with chronic pain, chronic fatigue, and horrid GI issues which eventually made day-to-day life pretty impossible. In the last 1-2 weeks, I have been able to build myself up to more activity. I can go on walks, do chores around the house, even participate in events for my part-time job as a children's party princess! And I have just gotten a new job which I start next week, and I'm preparing to start my masters soon too. I'm finally starting to feel more normal, and I dont always have to rely on painkillers just to function. I have also just had my first period since my surgery, and I have still been able to do everything I was planning to do. I forgot that periods don't have to mean absolute hell and complete retraction from the world due to being too poorly to get out of bed.
I am so beyond happy and surprised at how I've been feeling recently, and I hope that sharing this with you all will give you hope and make you feel even a little better about the future.
I have absolutely no idea how long I will be able to stay feeling like this, but I hope and pray for both myself and all of you that the good days get better, and last for longer, as time goes on.
