Blue badge question

Hello fellow endo sufferers,

I was wondering if any of you know if we are entitled to any help/support in any way. Including blue badge? I have sever endo stage 4, fibroids & untreatable bowel endo.

I’m in wales and you can’t usually get a blue badge unless you are receiving PIP

Hi Endo isn’t classed as a disability for any benefits, or at least used not to be. Doesn’t qualify for a blue badge. You can apply direct to your council and it’s their choice if they think you qualify for a blue badge. You have to pay for the badge.

If it affects your mobility, ie how far you can walk then you can apply. It will be your local council who decide, they will probably ask you to go to an assessment to see you move and ask questions. Have you considered applying for PIP also?

hi! I have PiP and a blue badge as my Endo is so bad I can’t walk far etc. I would start with PiP although it’s a long process. Once you get that you sent your Pip letter to council and they send the blue badge. Good luck x ps with PiP get as much supporting evidence as possible eg doctors lettters / statements / medical records as posible. It really helps with your case x

Hi, I had been given a blue badge for several years before I ever applied for PIP. I wasn't assessed by anyone for the blue badge. I eventually applied for PIP which I found to be a very long and brutal process although I did get it. Hope this helps. xx
