Thank you red crumb desperate for answers! Going to see gastrointestinal consultant on monday. Can't live with the pain & not knowing what is causing it!
Went to see gastrointestinal consultant Monday. He was SO ignorant! ! He said it was impossible to have an anal fistula because feaces were not coming through my vagina.& that was what Ibeen waiting for for 10 months? ?? Who ARE these ignorant people that treat you like idiot & almost shove you out the door?? Gynaecology next stop...I hope!!
Yes you can, for what ever reason you don't have periods, your body still has estogen and endo can self feed.
Ask GP fir feral to gyne, xx
I had it all through my adult life undiagnosed. I wasn't diagnosed until 3 years after my periods had stopped. By which time it was causing major bowel problems, balance problems, ENT problems, constant low level headaches, feeling like my brain just wasn't working, breathlessness and extreme tiredness.
I had a hysterectomy and bowel surgery 15 months ago. The best decision I ever made !
I kept one ovary so that I wouldn't go into premature menopause. All my Endo was excised during surgery too.
I no longer have periods but my body still has a 'cycle' as my ovary is still working. (I still get PMT) My specialist told me that while my ovary still works I could develop more Endo problems.
So Yes, even without periods Endo can still be a nuisance!
