I got 0 points in my PIP assessment- is it worth disagreeing/ going through the appeal process?
I feel I genuinely do feel I have trouble with several daily activities. However my feedback suggests its only if i physically can not feed myself or wash etc that I would be entitled to any help. I spend a fair bit of my wage (Minimum wage btw..) on sanitary products- because I have irregular bleeding and bleed very heavily, on special foods- because lots of foods cause my symptoms to worsen, pain relief products and various other things to get through.
I was expecting to be denied... but before/if I do ask for a look over- could someone tell me if its worth it? am I entitled to it? any tips?
Thankyou

talk to citizens advice. They can help. Pip is usually denied even if you need help with stuff like getting dressed and washing. Like all disability benefits it’s very hard to get. Esa is hard enough to get or whatever it is now within universal credit.
Problem with PIP is you don't get it just because you have a condition, it's how that condition affects you against their preset criteria. I get it but mine is mostly because of chronic fatigue and depression, not because of Endo itself even though my Endo caused or exacerbated these.
This is how they score you so when appealing (which if you feel you qualify, definitely do it), you can emphasis these points specifically. You get scored on one criteria in each section.
And I second talking to Citizens Advice, one of the questions they ask is if you had help filling in the form because they're assessing your capabilities. Also insist on having someone in the assessment with you. All helps! I wish you the best of luck xx
