2nd laproscopy in 15 months? Two endometriomas and left ovary adhesion already

Has anyone else needed surgery so quickly? I noticed the feeling of a cyst again about two months ago which was been getting more and more painful. In march 2022 I had a 6sm endometrioma removed and some endometriosis too. After a scan last week I now have two endometriomas on the same ovary as last time. One 3cm the other 2 cm and my left ovary is stuck.

I feel like I barely recovered from the last surgery and now I'm back in pain and discomfort and back on a waiting list for surgery.

Trying very hard to stop the "it's not fair" thoughts!

Hi Em0000,

So sorry to hear you need surgery again. I can't shed any light on frequency of surgeries as only diagnosed by lap in Feb of this year. Just wanted to drop a message to say I'm sorry you are going through this.

Also I'm curious how did they identify your ovary has restuck itself? Both of my ovaries were stuck but did not show up on ultrasound so only found out after lap

Sending you good vibes

They did an internal ultrasound and pushed on it really hard. My other ovary slid around and my uterus slid around but the left one wouldn't budge! Thank you for the message xx

Hi my case is different from yours as l am 77 years of age, but had partial hysterectomy December last year, then completion of hysterectomy March of this year due to cancer being found in womb samplings on first occasion.

I must say that both times l awoke pain free then due to my age they kept me in for 4 nights in total the second time and were super diligent with anything l needed.

The second operation l was given spinal anaesthetic plus the normal one and was able to walk to bathroom unaided by 4pm, l went to surgery at 8 am so you can see it should be fine for you, l hope. But please talk to your attendant nurse and don’t think that any queries you have are frivolous, they really are superb and are used to nervous or simply patients who really want to know their possible outcomes.

Wishing you well on your journey to recovery.
