Laparoscopy With Endometriosis. Pain With Vagina After Laparoscopy?

Hi so i had a Laparoscopy done 13 days ago, which thankfully confirmed Endometriosis which was wrapped around my ovaries, uterus, and bowl, and was successful removed πŸ™I also had a cyst on my fallopian tube which was also removed.

I was thankful for the diagnosis of Endometriosis as we've been trying for a baby for almost 5 years, we fell pregnant 6 months into trying but our baby had no heartbeat at the 12 week scan πŸ˜” a missed miscarriage. And even after 4 ivf cycles, and naturally trying the whole time, we've failed to get pregnant again.

So with this diagnosis and the removal of the scar tissue from Endometriosis, it now means we have more chance to get pregnant than we ever had πŸ˜πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™

Unfortunately we can't afford ivf which really upsets me. But we can still try naturally.

My problem is (excuse the blunt and graphic image this will put into your mind) straight away after waking up from my Laparoscopy my vagina felt strange. At first it just seemed numb when I would pee and wipe. But the bottom half of my tummy was numb as well from the surgery. Once the numbness wore completely off (within 24 hours) the feeling came back to my vagina in about 1-2 days. But it still didn't feel right, and it almost feels like the clitoris hood is pulled back a little too much and the exposed clitorus is very sensitive so feels a tiny bit sore when I wipe after a pee.

Well my fiancé and I had sex for the first time last night since the Laparoscopy. But even though I was turned on, my vagina was dry, until after we started then it became very wet. But as we had sex everything felt very tight, and it burned the whole time and got worse as we carried on. Afterwards my vagina went straight back to being completely dry. It swelled up a lot and was quite painful and uncomfortable. Waking up this morning it's a lot better but still a little swollen and uncomfortable. Has anyone else experience this after a Laparoscopy? I don't know what's going on, or what to do about it 😬

As far as I'm aware they didn't go near my vagina during the operation.

Please someone help xx

Your lady bits should not be feeling this way and you must get advice. A sympathic female doctor could advise you or get things investigated. I had the same issue, dry at first then okay but super tight. I was dry for years then it got a bit better when I started using Sylk lubricant. It is all natural and meant for lady issues. Loads to choose from out there. It could be an infection. I had no others issues other than dry bits and feeling puffy down there and it turned out to be thrush! I'm sorry to hear that you are struggling so much for a baby. I guess you are doing everything possible to get there. I used ovulation strips to know exactly when I was most fertile each month. Really helped to reduce the frequency of intercourse when it was painful. I wish you all the very best on your journey

I have my fingers crossed for you xx
