After a recent CT scan and x-ray I was informed that I have kissing ovaries and that my endo (which was diagnised in 2017) has spread to my bowel. I was refered onto to a specialist for surgery....if this is a very long wait then I will have to go privately for this. However, I am trying to get pregnant. I have regular cycles and appear to be ovulating. I am just wondering if anyone had any success getting pregnant with kissing ovaries? Or if they were able to get pregnant after surgical intervention to unstick them?
Thanks

Hiya I was diagnosed with stage iv had kissing ovaries and bowel involvement last summer after years of pain at 35 years. I had the ovaries corrected if that's the right phrase though I'm aware endo never goes completely! I went through 2 cycles of IVF the second was a success and baby is due in August. Having endo doesn't mean you'll need assistance getting pregnant but your health care provider should be aware of your health needs and provide you the appropriate support if fertility preservation is something you want to address. All the best
I am in similar situation as you with kissing ovaries both adhered to my uterus and right side to my bowel. I had surgery a few weeks ago and have now been started on Decapeptyl and HRT for 3 months and likely need further surgery before trying for children. He wasn’t able to remove most of my cyst on the right side or detach my ovaries due to safety. I had to wait 4 months for my first surgery which compared to others doesn’t seem so bad and not sure about the next one.
The consultant was very adamant that I’d only have to wait 12 months to be referred for IVF/fertility services (prior to seeing the extent of my endo) so might be worth pushing for a referral for that too if you haven’t already.
Fingers crossed you get somewhere soon it’s so hard waiting around for other people!
Hi Amy2106 thank you for sharing your story. 4 months isn't too long a wait. I am hopeful that I won't have to wait too long for my own! I hope the IVF works for you.
