Hello,

First time poster but long time lurker..!

I had my first excision lap at the start of May and my periods following that have been rather painful. I didn’t get much information following lap but have read that the first period is expected to be painful. It’s currently my third period and it’s still up there with the worst periods I’ve had. It was pretty extensive work as I had a large endometrioma, rectovaginal endo, fallopian tube and a lot of adhesions removed.

I’d like to hear from other people’s experiences regarding periods post lap. Did you have painful periods after lap and did they ease? Did it take longer than the one period like me?

Hi there!

Same symptoms and about the same procedure. Was just in the ER for this cycle. I am on my third since lap. I’ve been on the pill continuously, and am still having awful periods. This time in the ER, the did an internal ultrasound . It will be a week in a few days, and I’m wondering if this flaring/pain is normal? Hope you are feeling better !
