Hi _Sunflower

Sorry to hear you're struggling to stay positive at the moment. It sounds like you've been through a lot recently in terms of preparing for and undergoing surgery on both your kidney and your fallopian tubes. It's no wonder it's taken its toll on you physically and mentally, so please be kind to yourself and take it really easy while you recover.

Nourish yourself with good food - eating protein at every meal is vital for healing and repairing tissues as well as helping your body to make new blood cells for wound healing. It's also essential to stay well hydrated.

Along with our forum, we also have an online support group you might like to join while you recover from surgery? You can find it here: endometriosis-uk.org/suppor.... It's run by one of our volunteers who has personal experience of endometriosis and she'd make you very welcome.

As someone who also went through IVF after surgery, I think it's really important to find something that makes you feel more 'in control' of the situation. For me it was a weekly acupuncture session - during the hour-long session I was forced to 'relax' and I felt I was doing something to give me the best possible chance of conceiving. It doesn't have to be acupuncture though, it could be an online beginners yoga session once a week, a walk with a friend in nature once a week, preparing a really healthy meal - anything really! When waiting for surgery or undergoing fertility treatment you hand control over to other people, which is why it's so important to take action yourself and find something that helps to put you back in the driving seat.

Hope this all makes sense! Take care - wishing you all the best x
