4 month postnlap update

Just wanted to share a hopefully positive story.4 months post lap after over 20years of pelvic pain always put down to IBS. 20months waiting for a lap and finally found I did have endometriosis quite extensive in POD. Ive gone from being in pain alll day everyday taking stong painkellers to try and get me through, to now pain free most of the month. Still a bit of pain around ovulation amd diring period but not that ztops me doing my normal every day things usuall id be in bed at least 3 days and couldnt do anything but curl in a ball and want to cry. I had excision surgery and the consultant was confident he got it all

I feel very lucky as given the number of years ive suffered i have the contraceptive inplant for many years which for me ( i know doesnt work for everyone) helped keep the endo at bay. I just hope over the years it wont come back 🙏🤞

Its a horrific condition and I feel for anyone going though this its so shocking and wrong how many are struggling and getting palmed off with pain killers contraceptives dismisses my professionals!

This is great news. It's such a journey but I am so glad you now have some answers and are feeling the benefit. There is so much suffering with this disease and no one really understands. So glad you have had the operation finally and can hopefully can continue to feel loads better x

Thansk so much x It really is an awful condition and just beggers belief how its still not taken seriously and how poor services are x I hope that this will change we need to keep fighting and raising awareness
