So I've had my 3rd month and hopefully last round of zoladex, my preadmission is booked for the end of the month. Forced menopause has, to say least, a few nuts on it. The bowel pain has reduced significantly and also the belly swelling. I'm still struggling to eat though, but am like I said significantly in less pain. Hot flushes all the time... like all the time. The personality change is something I'm struggling with. With hrt not being an option as it will reactivate endo. It's like a roller coaster ride that you just can't get off of. Well, we'll see what miracles the bowel surgeon and gyno can do... here's hoping the endo is near. K x

I’m getting the Decapeptyl (similar idea to Zoladex?) Injections and away to have my second round this week. Can I ask if your symptoms ‘started over’ with each injection? I had a lot of the usual side effects for the 3 weeks after the first injection but this last week has been so good with very few side effects and very little pain (hallelujah!) I have my next injection this Wednesday and worried it will kick off another round of side effects. Did you find your body was used to the medication so the ‘new’ injection was just accepted? Or did it cause flare ups?

It took perhaps 6 weeks from my first injection that I could say that I was definitely in menopause or that my ovaries had shut down. After that I started significantly having improvement with endo symptoms. X

Keeping fingers crossed for you for the end of month and nothing gets in the way.

I had my last Zoladex just under four weeks ago, I’m intrigued to see what happens. Although I didn’t think it was doing anything as the four weeks is nearly up, weekend was worse. I’m wondering if it was doing something and keeping it down but not out 😂, time will tell, but still can’t eat much.

I'd be interested to hear if your "ovaries come back to life" ok. I think they are just going to throw mine in the bin. I suppose the amount of grief they've given me that's where they belong. X

🤣 I know how you feel. Might ask that one today and see how thrown the consultant gets, could be a bit mean though 😂
