Hi all you amazing warriors, I’m having a hard time just now stuck between a rock and a hard place. I grudgingly went private after finding an endo specialist to carry out my excision surgery. I need to get my bmi to 38 but after months of trying and going from a BMI of 52 down to 40 now my weight loss has just stopped. People are constantly asking how I’m doing with it and I feel so much pressure. All this while trying to keep my job, exercise and eat healthy while in constant pain and fighting fatigue is really hard. Does anyone have any tips to get this last bit of weight off please? x

You are amazing! That's an incredible achievement already.

Pain and fatigue is something I struggle with too, the motivation to cook or eat goes in cycles.

I don't know what strategy you've taken this far but I do know you can plateau in a weight loss and health journey as your body adapts to what you've changed.

So maybe switch up what you've been doing and find some new recipes?

hi, l was in a similar position to you, having lost almost 40 pounds l levelled out for a couple of weeks. My ANP friend gave me a tip, eat normally for 5 days then kick start your diet regime and make sure to drink at least 2 pints of water every day for both times, It seems now and then our bodies need a kick start so to speak.

Hope this helps, Alexa 🌸🌸🌸

I've just been reading around this advice and it's a real thing, it's called metabolic confusion and another way to do it is have a normal day of eating (IE meeting but not exceeding your calorie needs) then the next have low carbs or low calories (called a modified fast) it's apparently good short term.

Thanks for sharing, I find diet and food really interesting.

My husband did a keto diet and stuck to it religiously for about 4 months and he lost 2 stone. Might be worth trying it as it is something that really seems to work. It's very hard to lose weight , you have made really good progress, give the keto a try. I don't know what else works. xx

Hi

Well done on the weight loss so far 🙂 really good going.

If you haven’t had a blood test, ask GP to test thyroid, a full test, to check your metabolism is working efficiently, include hormones as well just to get an idea of levels. If you feel you’ve got stuck it might be under active thyroid
