Hiya I’m in a similar situation to you and have had extreme bloating to the point where I look 6 months pregnant. Go to your GP and ask for some tests to rule other causes out. I personally think it’s the endo flaring up but I am getting tested for coeliac and the GP also requested a stool sample to check for IBS. Mines very obvious around my time of the month but I have had flare ups randomly too. An anti inflammatory diet will help. No alcohol, caffeine and sweets as they’re big triggers and consider cutting out gluten and dairy, keep a food diary for your symptoms
I actually have an endo growth towards the back of my uterus that is causing my uterus and bowel to stick. This causes me pretty bad Ibs symptoms especially linked to my cycle. It’s a delicate area and the doctor said he wasn’t going to remove/ address it during my lap as there’s a risk of hurting my bowel and causing other complications. Instead was given a Mirena coil to help with general symptoms in the area and they’re hopeful that the local progesterone will help with the ibs symptoms in the long run as the endo growth shouldn’t flare up as much… just had it inserted 3 weeks ago so time will tell!
Hiyah - there’s a great discussion on IBS and gut with endo that just recent on a blog written by the knowledgeable endo warrior and author Katie Edmonds - the link to it is on her instagram feed @heal.endo
It goes into the relationship in great detail and I’ve found it invaluable. X
