I had my laparoscopy 5 weeks ago and have been diagnosed with endo (12 years in the making!!). They inserted a coil at the same time as this. Since then my symptoms and pain have become 10x worse. Has anyone had this?
Not sure if it is my body getting used to the coil. But I have been in so much more pain than I ever was before ☹️

Hi! You’re not alone. I had a lap three weeks ago and they separated some adhesions and inserted a Mirena. Tbh the first week wasnt too bad with some spotting and the stitches still hurting
But then I got my period last week and it felt like the period from hell (and having endo I feel like I’m used to heavy & painful periods!). It was also heavy and completely knocked me out with constant fatigue and nausea. The period has since slowed down. I’m still bleeding a little and will cramp slightly at random points of the day but it’s more bearable. I’m not sure if it helped too much but given the surgery and heavy period following it, I’ve really upped my supplement intake - eg iron, B12, vit D etc just to replenish what I’m losing.
my doctor is really hopeful that it will help me in the long term but has told me to that the first 3 -6 months will be uncomfortable as the area gets used to the device and progesterone release. If your pain really persistent it might be worth popping into the Gp or sexual health clinc and just making sure your device is still correctly in place
