hey - just got my period again 11 days after I started the last one. It’s not the first time in the last 2 years that I’ve had a really short period like this but it’s definitely the shortest - and I thought there was nothing y around this data that could have set it off -8 don’t have covid, haven’t had surgery, haven’t had a covid vax in a year and a half and no flu this year either, and it’s several months past my ivf. Because this has been happening for a while I am wonder if i am perimenopauseal? I am soon to be 38 …

just to add, because the scales used by my consultant vary from what’s used online I had never done the AMH calculations, but now that I have, looks like my AMH of 12 is lower than the low range value here for my age: my.clevelandclinic.org/heal... (1.5 where mine is 0.9)

I am quite concerned no-one has really picked up on and made me aware they were low - I got told it was okay after the test was done.

Hi there they go off your symptoms, such as hot flashes, mood swings, insomnia, changed to periods, for example time scale and flow, i hope that makes sense. Anxiety, depression, itching, joint pain and lots of other lovely symptoms. And no you're not too young, I've been perimnopausel since I was 36. Hope this helps any more questions please do ask. Sending you a big hug too x❤️

apparently they’ll do a blood test if you’d be premature which I would be

You need to blood rest 3-5 days after your period I think.

hello I have been tested twice for menopausal symptoms and my blood shows I am not menopausal. However, it doesn’t always show up in a blood test so I have been told. As I have symptoms I am on HRT. Symptoms started before I was put on decepeptyl at 39 and now 41. You aren’t too young for symptoms, I hope you get it sorted soon as I know how rough you can feel xx

do you treatments prevent pregnancy?

Simple answer is no.

Common myth that because you are on the same hormones taking HRT they prevent pregnancy but because they aren't contraceptives they don't.

Only contraceptives stop pregnancy xx
