stage 4 endo surgery
Hi there,
Keep hydrated and take your medicine on time. Make sure you have a soft cushion between you and the seat belt.
Rest, rest, rest.
Good luck with your journey and recovery. x
Hi M1673402,
Knowing how I felt the day after my surgery (though I didn’t fly I should say) I’d probably let the crew know about the surgery so they can handle your bags for you, that way you won’t have to reach really high or low for them. I’d also let others get off the plane first because you don’t want them to accidentally knock into your tummy in a rush to grab their suitcases and leave. And definitely a cushion so the seat belt doesn’t rub against your incisions, as Fizzypoptastic said.
I found it quite difficult to walk for a few days post-op so I would say don’t rush to get home, if you miss a train/bus there will surely be another one after, and if people are being impatient because maybe you’re walking slowly ignore them.
Wishing you a speedy recovery and hope the journey home is okay!
thanks so much for your advice, that is helpful! I’ve asked for special assistance and currently being pushed by husband in wheelchair and feeling every bump, I’ll be so glad to get home! But everyone has been very helpful so far and no bother with meds or sharps thankfully xx
