Mirena

So after much push back on my end, I finally caved and agreed to having the Mirena after being told there is nothing else that can help with my endo.

It finally became too much having 10 day periods with a 4 day break on desogestrel.

I have tried twice to have the Mirena inserted but the pain and discomfort was too much. The last doctor said it appears the Mirena is not going to be suitable for me.

I don’t suppose anyone has had a similar experience and can suggest alternatives?

I have an appointment with my consultant at the end of March and I need to discuss alternatives with him, but I just don’t know what’s out there.

Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

They could give you a double dose of deostrogel. That's what I have and it has really helped.
