I’ve had three prostap injections, started tibolone at the same time, had heavy bleeding after first injection but none since. My pelvis pain is getting severe again, also my bladder pain is very bad, has anyone else experienced this? Also recently started having hot flushes and bad night sweats but I thought the tibolone was to stop the menopause symptoms from happening, does this mean my hormones aren’t at the right level?

ideally the tibolone shouldn’t be started until a few weeks after to allow the inital oestrogen surge to pass.
Yes tibolone is hrt and can help menopause symptoms but it didn’t work for me and many others. Ask your gp for a different hrt. It needs to be a combined hrt but there are others to try.
it was a private gynaecologist I seen and she said I had to start the both at the same time, I don’t know why the sweats and hot flushes are happening now after three months of treatment but I will go back to the doctor to see if there’s other options
it could be that you wouldn’t have had any menopause symptoms until now anyway. There’s a lot that’s unpredictable with prostap. There are plenty of other hrt you can try. Recommendation is lowest dose of oestrogen that’s effective for you. Tibolone is lowest and synthetic so less likely to activate endo. Kliovance is another tablet or evorel conti are patches you can try but ask gp.
