I'm new here and very newly diagnosed with endometriosis. I don’t have many people to talk to who understand.
I’ve struggled with my periods since a young age and had an ectopic pregnancy 6 years ago.
Although kids haven’t been at the forefront of my mind, being told my chances are low has hit me harder than I thought.
I just wanted to ask for some advice/ people’s experiences with how they’ve dealt with their diagnosis and treatment and what helps with the physical pain and the mental side too.
thanks in advance x

with me I found that even though it’s new to me with the diagnosis I have had a feeling I have for years and with the treatment I always think at least I won’t have too much pain hopefully after and that I’m a step closer to getting a little control over it hope this helps
Hiya so sorry to hear about your story I 7nderstand how you are feeling been diagnosed with endometriosis was very hard for me aswel, I got diagnosed 6 years ago I didn't know much hardly anything about it at the time but the more I learnt the scary it sounded. I got worse over the years to the point my last resort was a hysterectomy, that's just my story I don't want to scare u or anything like that there are so many things that you can try some may not of worked for others but might be the best for u.nplease don't give up hope it's a hard thing to live with and I know it's not easy but u will get there.
thank you! It’s something I’ve had for years but it’s never been diagnosed until last week. I’ve tried researching but as you say, it’s quite daunting! The pain is awful and I’ve been put on so many different painkillers for it. They’re looking at laparoscopy to start and have also given me the option of early menopause to stop the symptoms but I am young and want kids so that’s sort of out the question at the minute. I’m so sorry to hear that! If you don’t mind me asking, What other treatments did you try? How did you decide on and cope with the hysterectomy?
hi, you are not alone. There are plenty of things that might help, nutrition is one and there is a book called “Endometriosis: a key to healing and fertility through nutrition” by Dian Shepperson Mills. She is a nutritional therapist and can be found at endometriosis.co.uk or makingbabies.com
