endo symptoms and COCP

hi everyone. I have symptoms “suggestive of endometriosis”, following a private doctor appointment with a specialist earlier this month as I was just going round and round with my NHS GP.

I have very painful period and during my period sometimes (but not always) get a really swollen, heavy, painful, hard belly for about a day.

I am 3 weeks into taking the combined oral contraceptive pill. It’s the first time I’ve ever been on the pill. I got the bloated, swollen and painful belly a couple of days ago which I was surprised about as I thought it only happened when I had a period. Could this mean I maybe have IBS rather than endo?

I am also getting mild discomfort in my lower abdomen - like a cramp that comes and go and is like a painful stretching feeling?

Does anyone have similar experience and symptoms being on the COCP?
