Cyst and possible rupture

Sorry a bit of a rant but i need to release it. I was diagnosed with endo 7 years ago following a cyst removal (although looking back, I had been suffering a lot longer). I have not been seen by gynea since. Around may this year I was sent for an ultrasound after repeatedly reporting an increase in my pain to the gp. The scan show a 3cm bleeding cyst. I went back 3 months later and it had grown by another 6cm. The GP actually did something about this and referred me to the urgent gynea clinic. This week I have had a sudden increase in my pain again initially centred on my right which is where my cyst is. This was not my "normal" pain. The gp seemed to think that my cyst may have ruptured and that it will be somewhat painful and that it should go in 7 days roughly. To add to this I also started bleeding earlier then I should. They said this could be the cyst draining. Go forward a week and I am still in pain, im still bleeding and at times I am very bloated. I called again yesterday to one, ask if this is normal and to say it didn't feel right and two, to chase my "urgent" referral. The gp told me that they couldn't say for sure if the cyst had ruptured and that I would need to be seen by gynea 😂. He said if it had I may be bleeding internally and that that the blood would reabsord and whilst this happens it would be painful. I helpfully said, so like endo then and he hadn't even clocked I have it. He then said well yes especially if it is an endo cyst. He obviously hadn't read my notes as my scan had stated a bleeding endo cyst. I asked what I should do and he just said painkillers and wait for the appointment to come through. I then asked how long and he said the hospital I was referred to had a 19!!! Week waiting list. I came off that call feeling completely fobbed off . I called the hospital to see if I had at least got a date and nope not even a date yet.

To top it off, my "endo pains" have decided to come today on top, so now im just lying in bed with my hot water bottle feeling very sorry for myself.

I'm so sorry to hear this! It sounds like you have an endometrioma--or a chocolate cyst. You'll pro ably have to get a laparoscopy. Your gyno should be doing more for you to get you in emergency to remove the mass as it can continue to cause further complications. I would get back on that phone and not stop until you get a quicker date! Or find a new gyno surgeon. Know that you are not alone, and NOT crazy!
