this is now my 6th week of agonising pain. Tonight however seems to be particularly worse. Woken up at 4am (hsving slept at 12 for the same reason).

tramadol and paracetamol taken. Pain just isn’t subsiding. How do you cope? I’m at my wits end. Please don’t say hospital or morphine hospital doesn’t care. I’m so low.. I’ve had enough. Sometimes I want to rip my ovary out.

I'm so sorry you're going through this right now. I'm also prescribed Tramadol but this doesn't take enough of the pain away.

I also use medical cannabis oil throughout the day alongside Tramadol. This does help. And heat blankets and hot water bottles help me. I prefer heat blankets as you can wrap it around the parts that hurt most.

Most days I want to cut my leg off and rip my insides out as I have sciatic endo aswell as constant cysts on my ovaries (stage 4 endo/adeno/frozen pelvis/pcos). Its very difficult living with this amount of pain.

My GP is useless but I am waiting for full hysterectomy, endo clear and bowel surgery thanks to seeking a private endo consult. Unfortunately I'm on a 1 year wait list for my op as due to the the bowel surgery im back on the NHS side of things. 🤦‍♀️

i hope you find something that helps xxx

There are othe pain killers you could try, ask your GP. You might be able to take them with Tramadol. I found with Tramadol that it was very sedating, but you do tend to get 4-5 hours sleep and then you suddenly wake up and you're back where you were.

Is there any other treatment plan for you apart from taking painkillers eg more investigation, hormone treatment, surgery.

4am is when our bodies are at their lowest ebb ( I know this from working nights). Not a good time for suffering pain as well xx

Hi Ess1982

Sorry to hear you're in so much pain with your endometriosis and that your hospital hasn't been supportive. You shouldn't have to be in constant pain so please push for a referral to a different endometriosis specialist or, if that's not possible, ask your GP for a referral to your nearest specialist pain clinic.

On our website we have a document containing details about possible pain relief options for endometriosis, which you can download at endometriosis-uk.org/pain-r.... Often pain needs to be tackled on many different fronts, hopefully the information contains options that you may not have considered.

It's nice to see that some of our community have reached out to you to explain what works for them with regards to pain relief.

Alongside our forum we have face-to-face support groups all over the country where you can discuss endometriosis and the issues you are experiencing with other sufferers. To find out if there's a group in your area visit endometriosis-uk.org/find-a.... We also have an online support group separate to the forum.

In addition, we have a free helpline (0808 808 2227) that is open most days so do call if ever you need to hear a friendly, empathetic voice. All our volunteers have personal experience of endometriosis. The times the helpline is open can be found here: endometriosis-uk.org/helpline

Take care xx
