So I had gynae appt yesterday and feeling deflated she didn’t really listen to my concerns my endo may be worse and on my bowel as Iv been having trouble for few years constipation, bloating, painful bowel movement (gp just says ibs) thought she might send for mri but all she suggested was prostap and see me in a year I’m concerned how this might affect me mentally as I’m on sertraline for depression/anxiety after a horrible meltdown. After thinking about prostap I’m not 100% I don’t want another baby (I have one son age 11 but I can’t shake the feeling possibly daft though given my age I’m 37)
help lol

the prostap will help, if the bowel issues are endo related. I love my prostap injections the relief is amazing once you have got through the first few weeks.
when your on these injections the endo can not spread and in some cases it can start to reduce it.
Not daft at all. However, if you were to try Prostap, you generally are only on it for 6 months. So whether you wanted to give it a shot. You can still have another baby once you come off it. 37 is not too old!
Suppose you have to weigh up how severe your pains are. Are they affecting your everyday life.
I’m personally trying Prostap out, along side tibolone (HRT), & it has definitely helped with my pain level & the constant spotting I was getting has completely stopped.
I would ask to have an endoscopy, because you want to know exactly what is going on with your bowel.
Hi i have ibs and I used to get shocking constipation too, until I gave up anything with gluten in it. I also find beef, pork and lamb caused me the same problem. So I don't know if you eat these foods or have already cut them out. But I found removing them from my diet sorted out my constipation and along with a few other foods the other issues I had with ibs too. I hope you don't mind me telling you this I just thought it might help in regards to the constipation. As constipation can be caused by gluten intolerance. I hope you're able to get answers and help with all that you are suffering with too. Sending you a big hug ❤️
I went gluten free a while back helped at first but back to how it was I now end up in agony if I do eat gluten I was tested for coeliac but that was negative but still gave up gluten to try
hi there , I had decapeptyl which is the same or a similar injection to prostap to shrink a large fibroid. I’m sure I had endo as well but waiting on pathology after my hysterectomy. I found the injections ok in the sense I didn’t have too many side affects but it didn’t really shrink my fibroid. My surgeon said not to worry as they don’t work with everyone however I have heard of woman with endo get lying a lot of relief with these. I had six months worth - two injections that last theee months. You could ask for the monthly ones so that if I don’t feel they are helping that it is easier to stop. Did I tell your consultant you want another baby? If you felt strongly about this then push them to even go in and ablate the endo so u can try sooner? However there coukd be waiting lists and the injection might do the same thing… don’t be afraid to say that you felt brushed off - these are strong injections and I have to be sure ur wanting them and of all your options xxx
