Microgynon

My daughter has suffered from lower abdominal pain for over 18 months and she is 15. Yesterday we went to see the GP to get more help for her. The GP said that because she had been on Microgynon for 3 months and the MRI was clear but the pain had not improved, then we can rule out any gynae issue. Can I rule out endometriosis? Thank you.

Unfortunately not, you can't rule out endometriosis. The only way to diagnose endometriosis is to have a laproscopy. Could be a number of different causes of the pain though. Is her only symptom lower abdominal pain? Well done for championing her care. I hope she feels better soon.
