Bowel adhesions

Hi everyone

I had a laparoscopy in April 2021. Since March this year I’ve been struggling with a heap of new symptoms. The main ones are burning and swelling around my bra area so near my ribs and extreme abdominal bloating and like a stretching/burning feeling.

I have severe constipation and my stomach makes loud rumbling noises. I’ve been prescribed laxatives and these help but I’m not able to go without them.

I’ve had an MRI recently on my pelvis which showed no active endo, however my consultant wants to do further investigations.

I think I’m possibly struggling with adhesions from the surgery. Does anyone have any tips on how to cope and how to regain more normal bowel function?

Thanks for reading ❤️

I'm sorry that you're experiencing more symptoms lately. Going gluten free and drinking peppermint tea really helped me personally with my GI symptoms. Have you spoken to a gastroenterologist, if not I'd ask for a referral, they may be able to provide more insight.
