I ve not rote on here for a while as things were stable.
However August I decided to stop the Zoladex injection due to the bone pain, moods and hair loss. While on it my periods stopped and my bowels worked, when I stopped it after about 7 days I bleed very heavy with large clots for around 15 days which was awful, draining and tiring. The bleed has now stopped but my bowels, abdo and pelvic pain are worst than ever am feeling so drained and exhausted and feeling so down.
man waiting for a hysterectomy and still got no date been waiting since May and I don’t think it will be till after Xmas.
I ve not long started a new job 5 weeks in and I can’t take time off which I really feel I need too.
Does anyone else have bowel issues as well as gyne issues, my head is spinning thinking the worst and starting to feel really scared.

So sorry to hear you’re struggling. So I’ve had endo for 16 years now. I had a hysterectomy in December and am now waiting for another laparoscopy. The last couple of years I have had so many issues with my bowel. I get a constant pain on my left (verging from a stitch like pain to a full on contraction pain). I also get a lot of trapped wind, diarrhoea, constipation and generally pain before and after opening bowels. They think endo is on my bowel hence the next op as well as removing my ovaries as they are making it worse. I know it’s easy to say but don’t be scared, empower yourself. Log all your symptoms and research bowel endometriosis. It may help x
Hi Em xxx have you let your employer know how badly you’re suffering? They might be able to make adjustments to your job to make things a little easier for you when you’re not well. Also, please don’t push yourself too hard. I know it’s a new job, but you really must look after yourself and take time off if you need it. If you broke an arm 5 weeks into a new job, what could they do? It’s not your fault, it takes time to heal, and you need a bit of help and understanding when you do get back to work. It should be the same for other illnesses and symptoms that you can’t see on the outside but still have a huge impact on how you function in your daily life.
I’m 45, I’ve got bowel endometriosis and adhesions. I’m trying Prostap injections at the moment to see if being in chemical menopause helps at all, before I have a hysterectomy & separation of adhesions etc. My bowel has always had problems during my period, mainly awful constipation. These days, I take a daily dose of lactulose to try and keep things moving. I have also been prescribed various painkillers and mebeverine to ease bowel & bladder cramps. For self-help, I drink peppermint tea, take probiotic capsules and use heat patches, hot water bottle or heated cushion on my back or belly.
My surgery will be with a BSGE / specialist endo centre, as we already know my bowels are involved, from previous surgery. Are you with endo specialists for your surgery? xxx
