I have been having on and off pain when peeing and most days its quite uncomfortable. I've had UTIs before and this feels somewhat similar except this time I am having pains on my side. I have an appointment next week to talk about it but not sure how far i'll get them.
Has anyone else experienced this when getting checked for endo?

I have had this… and sympathise with you! I kept going back and forth to drs thinking I had rip roaring utis but nothing showed up. Was so debilitating. When I had my lap my surgeon checked my bladder, couldn’t see endo tissue but said it was inflamed. Put it down to interstitial cystitis which is known as a sister disease of endo ☹️ Mine has settled since I had my daughter but it was agony and I dread it ever coming back. Only thing I can advise is rest rest rest if you feel a flare might come. And ask the dr to check your bladder if you’re having a lap, if it is endo tissue hopefully they can remove it. Also, always get checked just in case it is a uti. I didn’t once, convinced it was endo/ IS related and ended up in hosp with urosepsis, that one time it actually was a uti whoops! Wishing you well xxx
I had this prior to surgery. My tube from my kidney was bent due to endo. It was removed and I had a few months pain free. I am currently suffering again so fighting to get to see someone.
It could be a UTI or it could be that your endo has grown along your tubes from the bladder and so the flow is not working properly. It's easy to get this checked just ask for an ultrasound on your kidneys and urethas and explain the endo background. It is important to get checked out as it could be very serious if left. It will show up if they are kinked or bent and I guess ask them to check the bladder too.
Just go back to the GP and be really pushy, I know that doesn't feel nice but if you don't make a fuss they will just fob you off. If you have funds you could go private an ultrasound is not very expensive. It would save you a lot of waiting around.
Good luck but don't just leave it get it checked. xx
