worried about immune system

every single time I have a period I get horrendous colds.. my lymph nodes are so swollen around my throat which just adds to the already painful experience of bloating and deep pelvic pain. Am I alone in this? I keep getting worried my endo has grown into my lymphatic system :(

I am the same as you its exhausting! I need to go back to the doctors about my bloating! Xx

Feel your pain here. Too common. There is a lot of research as to the potential in endo being autoimmune or immune related so when flares occur that’s probably part of why the lymph also flare too. So research into the NPSR1 gene and it’s relationship to leaky gut and the importance of proper levels of Omega 3 , research revealing low levels/higher requirements of Omega 3 with endo , evidence that various sites of endo within the body of sufferers show higher than normal levels of the klebsiella pneumonie bacteria that’s associated with diarrhoea, poor gut function, UTI’s etc indicators that working on the gut is essential in getting ontop of these inflammation causing bugs with proper probiotics ; often this particular bug is something that interferes with lactase production so maybe part of why tolerance of lactose becomes a challenge. the recent possible association with elevated bio markers such as CD90 that is part of the thymic T cell response that is linked to fibrosis type inflammation of cells means that the lymph will flare. ( weirdly and simply there’s alot of evidence in studies to show Vit C is highly effective in helping here ) ….

The long and short being your lymph will flare when enough triggers set off an episode . It ought to be checked by a medic ( mine kept saying “virus “ but nothing showed !) Removing lactose deep food from my diet rapidly stopped my lymph from kicking off big time and the rash down the neck with it. It’s part of my picture. I add a few select supplements and decent probiotic and it’s all more in order with decent sleep and good exercise. Avoiding antibiotics has helped where at all possible as they just wreck my gut flora now and set the endo off….

This is super super helpful actually- will definitely look into probiotics. I have been dealing with this for over a decade but only diagnosed in feb and learning how many things are related is crazy. I don’t know if I’m allowed to ask and tell me if not but do you have any recommendations for probiotics or even just places to look? No idea where to start! I hope your methods continue to help :) nice that there’s hope

Yes. I get a sore throat days prior to my period also. My physician said it's due to the hormone that makes mucus increase. (Sorry, I completely forgot which one it is) I've heard a lot of us endosisters complain about such issues. You are NOT alone. I hope you get some answers. Best of luck.
