Wow that’s amazing to hear .I only have 1ovary left now , I’m hoping for a miracle.

My surgeon said to crack on with ivf before my surgery ( waiting for it on urgent list)

Did your cyst grow with the medication?

Or stay the same ?

What happend after you had you boy ?

Did you have surgery?

Sorry for all the questions x

My cyst didn’t grow massively as the pregnancy followed by a year of no periods due to breastfeeding helped. I had mild IVF so as not to aggravate the endometriosis as much. After I had my gorgeous boy and stopped feeding him I tri cycled the pill for a few years before having surgery.

Good luck I really hope all works out ok for you

I also had a 10cm cyst on my left ovary and an 8cm cyst on right ovary. It’s possible. I was worried at first but it was successful!

Hi I have 2 rounds of ivf with endometriosis & endo cysts on my ovaries, first egg collection they could only access one ovary , my second one they accessed both, the cyst didn’t grow much during both treatments. I was pregnant last year the endometriosis didn’t cause any issues sadly lost my baby due to pregnancy related complications. But all In all my endometriosis seems much better after pregnancy & going into further ivf treatment I still have a small endometrioma on my ovary which they are happy to continue with.

They say as long as they don’t get too big they should be fine during fertility treatments.

Best of luck x

Hi there, I had my egg collection yesterday and my consultant was going to drain my cyst but didn’t need to, she managed to retrieve by going around it, we also had ICSI done.

Thanks for you’re reply , I didn’t know they could drain the cyst .Is that the ivf doctors or endo doctor ?

Had my scan and the nurse said she couldn’t see my ovary as cyst was in the way , my last scan they could , this nurse didn’t seem to push round as much inside .

My consultant is my fertility doctor but she also deals in woman’s health, I’ve got stage four endo and had both my fallopians tubes removed in Jan this year, this is our third round and we’re literally going to one of the best consultants in the country, we only have a small window to do this in now because of my endo, wishing you every luck at trying to be a mummy, thinking of you lovely. Xx

Hi Jade I have done IVF with stage 4 endo and cysts. My insides are completely fused together even my bowel. I haven’t had surgery before. I luckily fell pregnant first round 3rd transfer. Wishing you all the best xx

That’s amazing , that gives me hope , I haven’t had any endometriosis removed either as my surgery last year was to remove a large cyst they thought was cancer .

Hi,

I had a cyst of around 5cm prior to ivf. I was told it had to be removed prior to treatment so I had it removed, 2 weeks later it was back so they went ahead with treatment at a later date.

Thanks for taking your time out to rely .Did you have to wait for it to be removed on the nhs ?

Did you have the surgery before ivf.

X

Hello,

I hope you're well - I have two endometriaoma cyst, one on the left and one on the right. I had to go with natural/modified IVF due to my Endo and managed to get three embryo's. I was also very lucky to get good Embryo's. I did however have a few cancelled cycles due to access point with the cysts, but eventually we got there in the end. I'm on hold now though as I need to have a swollen tube looked at :( - wishing you all the best of luck xx

Hello lovely,Yes, I had IVF with endometriomas on both ovaries. The biggest one was on my right ovary and that ovary doesn't respond as well as my left ovary, where I had a couple of small endometriomas. I did have surgery to excise my endo (it was severe and pretty much everywhere!) and remove my endometriomas, but that was after egg collection (I was told removing the endometriomas would affect my ovarian reserve so it would be better to try to do egg collection before the surgery, if they could access my ovary OK!) and unfortunately my bigger endometrioma grew back soon after the surgery.

It has been a long journey for me but I have recently had my miracle 🌈 baby. I wish you all the best xxx
