Hye.. Is anyone here has same symptoms as me.. Have a prolonged period.. After normal period of 7 days.. For ex. Day 1-3 heavy period but day 4-7 lightly and decrease day by day in amount... But it's just not stop... I go to gyn.. And have an ultrasound and pap smear and also sample from my uterus was taken.. And tomorrow I will see my doctor to know about the result.. Is anyone here has the same symptoms just like me.. Prolonged period... The blood after seven days of period turn to brown.. And sometimes more to red-dark.. Sometimes fresh in color and it's just little and consider as spotting because i need to use pantyliner as my protection... Please who here with me? Huuuu.. I'm sending hugs.. Just wanna cry... Because my mother passed away from lung cancer... Oh god.. Let me be healthy..

I have the same spotting. It's common among endometriosis patients. Have you done laparoscopy before?
Mine used to be 6-8 days , 2nd and 3rd is the heaviest then it fades off.. I have a cyst on my left ovary,
I meant to say now I'm averaging 4-6days from the 1st day I spot
Hye jenny.. But mine... Do not stop... Heaviest os at day 1-3 and day 4-7 its fades.. But after that.. It turn to continue an spotting until today.. For example I period on 9/7/2017..until today i still have spotting...
Oh that's really prolonged periods. Did u take any shots or under any medications
Yrs ago my first time Dr discovered cyst possibilities they gave me a shot that make me bleed for 7.5 months , how big is your cyst
Doctor gave me tranexamic acid for control my bleeding during periods because they afraid I might lost lot of blood during periods.. But i do not take it anyway cause I'm afraid of the side effect... But my period is as usual.. Heaviest only for two to three days.. And doctor also gave me mefenamic acid, so that really help me during my period... It help to less my pain... Any shot that u mentioned.. I do not have done it yet... My cyst is just around 1-3 cm... And i am currently nervous about seeing my doctor tomorrow.. But I still have spotting at this moment.. Just a little spotting.. But it's really distract my mood and my relationship with my husband...
I can totally understand, the nerves but pls don't coz it won't help u. Pray instead, I wish I knew the term for the shots, but the purpose is to Shrink the cyst. I don't blame u for not taking the meds, for possible side effects. But I do suggest iron or multi vitamin and health greens for iron help. Yes 2-3 days heavy periods with women has this issues might be common but sporting after a week or 10 days is requiring doctors expertise to know what is the cause hopefully they'll find out. My cyst is bigger 4 something but I'm too scared to have it take off so I do watch my diet and do remedies instead
Yup.. Thank for being really helpful sis... I am totally nervous right now.. And I wish God can hear my prayer tonight... Firstly doctor at the emergency thought that is a fibroid.. But then they refer me to Gyn specialist... And then specialist said it endometioma cyst.. But he also curious why it cause me prolonged period... And spotting like this... I do have taken the tranexamic acid.. That pills help to conttol and atop the spotting but sometimes I took it.. But sometimes I just.. Let it go.. Huuu... I am totally nervous sis.. By the way.. Thank sis.. Gonna let u know the situation tomorrow... Pray for me...

I usually have spotting after periods. Which may extend upto 14 days. I had endometriomas in both ovaries. I had discussed this with my doctor and she said it's caused by cysts and endo. A laparoscopy may cure this for some period of time. So, I accepted her advice and had a laparoscopy to remove endometriosis in may 31st this year. Waiting for my first period after laparoscopy. Let me see if there's still spotting?
Oh.. I hope u gonna have good news after this... I will pray for your recovery... I am married.. And I've search in internet.. After the operations.. Pregnancy is one of the best way to control the endo from come back... Me too have spotting... Sometimes almost a month... And stop spotting only a week before next period.. And continue just almost same routine every month.. Can u see how much i struggle my life.. It's do not cause pain.. Just a little pelvic pain.. But the pain only for sometimes.. And i hope my result is just fine.. And i am 26 year's old

That was my life for nearly 30 years! Day 1-3 red, heavy periods then days 4- 11 black discharge. Few weeks of nothing then off we went again! Towards the end I'd get the black spotting for 3-4 days, nothing for a couple, normal period then back to spotting.
Twelve months ago I have a full hysterectomy plus ovaries and cervix removed. (I'm 48). 10 cm cyst on one ovary and a 4 and 5cm cyst on the other and all internal organs glued together with the rotten endo stuff. I had put up with it so long ... wishing I'd done something sooner! Good luck with your answers and getting help you need.
Over the years the only relief I found was pregnancy (2 miracle children) and a naturopath I found that eased my symptoms. Took 13 years to fall pregnant!
